I have been going to Bricin for 25 years and it's consistently good. The quality is all good and they go beyond themselves to make sure you enjoy yourself. I always get chowder could of got a small bit more fish but they came with extra bread so that was good.
This lovely place is above a nice gift shop. The quality of the food and service is excellent. This was the best boxty I have ever had. I ordered the chicken and vegetable one. The cream sauce was superb. It came with a salad which was full of fresh vegetables. My husband had a seafood gratin and seafood chowder which he said was perfect. The staff is warm and welcoming; you feel like you are in a comfortable country home. Antique stained glass pieces all around are so beautiful. I was vacationing and had a terrible sore throat. The manager asked if he could bring me a hot lemon drink, which was deliciously soothing. All our dishes were a work of art to look at and so yummy! Reservations are suggested, prices were very reasonable for such quality food and service.
Call ahead and make reservations, we were able to eat here the same day by being open to having a later dinner slot. Easily the best dinner we’ve had in Ireland so far. The staff was welcoming, clearly worked well together, and the food was flavorful. Deeply enjoyed the engaging moments our waitstaff shared with us despite a very busy night. This is a place that really understands it’s the little things. Eating here was the best way to cap off a full day tour.
Superb. Johnny welcomed us with a wee tour, and made us feel at home. The lamb and ratatouille boxty were splendid, crispy and savory. The salad was fresh and flavorful. The pear + almond and sticky toffee desserts were fantastic. Lorraine is an amazing server, great at suggestions and a wonderful soul.
Peculiar entrance for a restaurant this one, but it was funny going through a shop to get in there. Everything was nice and cozy. It gives us a great taste of Irish ambience, together with Christmas vibes. Food was tasty and finally I had the chance to taste a true boxty. Mine was with lamb, very soft and delicious. The salad was tasty too! We also ordered a chowder. I must say, it isn't one of my favourite I tried so far since I live in Dublin, because it was too creamy and less fishy. But it gave us the idea. Dessert were good. Service was a little bit slow but we had the chance to chit chat with one of our waitress and this was nice. My overall opinion is that this is a great place to spend the evening dining in with friends or families. You feel welcomed in Ireland.
Can't believe it took me this long to eat here. The service was the best in Killarney. The host (maybe the owner?) was an absolute gentleman and the waitress was lovely too. …
The owner/host was the kindest and most inviting person. We are traveling on our honeymoon, and felt so welcomed and looked after. All of our food was outstanding (beef curry boxty was out of this world!!!) cozy atmosphere. Overall, don’t …
Friendly, warm service and a delightful menu. My companion enjoyed the ratatouille boxty, and I had the Filo wrapped chicken. Superbly cooked, very flavorful. Toffee Pudding one of the best I've had anywhere. And I've had a few 😉 …
